In March 2023, in advance of the men’s first team winning the , it was a prerequisite that the Old Spotted Dog Ground was given the required ground grading.

The ground is managed by the OSD Ground Trust who got the changing rooms refurbished, the turnstile operational and put in an application to get the old floodlights upgraded. The ground was passed and we had the following season to get any snags fixed.

In October 2023, after being approved for a Football Foundation grant, the floodlight upgrade was completed, which allowed a series of evening matches to take place at the Old Spotted Dog Ground. That was the final task required to satisfy the ground grading.

However, the 2023/24 season has now seen a big change with the Football Foundation/Premier League Stadium Fund taking over ground grading. The process is being digitised for the first time with a new app called stadiumPower.

Under the new Stadium Accreditation Programme every ground in the country was visited and graded this season, and that will be repeated on a three-year cycle.

We’re pleased to confirm the Old Spotted Dog Ground passed the relevant stadium accreditation.
